The fleet management system FleetBoard has already an application for buses. The version is named FleetBoard Bus and is offered on the Bulgarian market by Balkan Star, authorised general representative for Bulgaria of Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses and coaches.

The Dutch bus and coach manufacturer VDL Bus&Coach presented for the first time in its history an electric bus. The launch of the city VDL Citea Electric took place during the 60th edition of the international exhibition for mobility and city transport UITP (Geneva, May 27th - 30th , 2013).

It is not a joke although it happened on April 1st! The new Setra ComfortClass 500 coach came in Bulgaria less than two months after the start of its series production. The official launch in Bulgaria of one of the reference coaches for the branch was organized by the official local importer of the brand - Balkan Star. The launch continued nearly two weeks with a presentation series throughout Bulgaria.

Volvo Buses updated its range of coaches, said the headquarters of the Swedish manufacturer. The models 9700 and 9900 are in a process of modernization. The novelties include a number of coach components and systems.

Belgian bus and coach manufacturer VanHool for the first time in its 67 year history organized journalist test drives for part of its range. They were held in the middle March in the Belgian town of Koningshooikt and its surroundings. In Koningshooikt is the VanHool plant. Participations in the test drives as drivers and passengers had the members of the International Bus of The Year Award jury, including a representative of KAMIONI magazine.

In middle of March the Belgian bus and coach manufacturer VanHool organized a visit to its factory for members of the International Bus of the Year Award jury. It gave the opportunity to see a really unique factory and look closer at the rich range of the manufacturer.

New passenger regulations in the passenger road transport came into force on March 1st, 2013. They regulate compensation details in cases of injury, loss or damage of baggage, delays in schedules. A few days before this date Bulgarian bus and coach companies warned that the regulation carries along new, big and excessive costs.
